Super
Falcons captain Evelyn Nwabuoku has boasted that Cameroon Lionesses
will be beaten when they clash on Tuesday at the National Stadium in
Abuja.
Nwabuoku, who thanked the Nigeria
Football Federation for organising the game, stressed that it would
afford them the opportunity to know their state of readiness for the
task ahead
“Nigerians should not expect anything
short of victory from us this evening because we have worked hard
preparing for this match. We are only waiting for the game to come up
and for us to showcase what we have learnt in the past three weeks,” she
said.
The Rivers Angels star said the
Cameroonians would give them a good game and would want to even beat the
Falcons but assured that the visitors would meet their waterloo.
She insisted the game would not be a
grudge match but that the Falcons would want to revenge the loss to
Cameroon at the 2012 African Women’s Championship.
“We are ready and raring to go. We are
going to use this game to send a message to the Rwandans that the
Falcons are on track to regaining their glory,” she said.
