A 21-year old student, Saheed Anisere, on Monday, appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly biting off a man’s ear.
Anisere, a resident of Idiorogbo Street, Ayobo, Lagos, is facing a-two-count charge of breach of peace and assault.
The prosecutor, Inspector George Nwosu, told the court that the accused committed the offences on May 25 at No 3, Agbakin Ede St., Ayobo, Lagos.

He said that the accused unlawfully assaulted Mr Yakubu Alani by beating him and biting off his ear.
“The accused beat up the complainant by punching his face and biting him to the extent that he cut off his left ear,” he said.
Nwosu said that a case of stealing was reported at Ayobo police station against the accused for stealing a wrist watch.
“The complainant was looking for his wrist watch which was later found on the accused wrist and he refused to release the wrist watch.
“The case was reported at the station and the accused escaped while his father, who was arrested, wrote an undertaking to produce the accused.
“The accused went to the complainant’s house to beat him up and bite his ear,” he said.
The offences, Nwosu said, contravened Sections 166 and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
He said that Section 171 prescribes a- three- year jail term as penalty for offenders.
When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty to the offences.
The Magistrate, Mr A .A Adesanya, granted him N200, 000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to June 22 for mention.

Four female suicide bombers on a suicide mission on Friday have been shot and killed by the Civilian JTF near Maiduguri in Borno state.
The incident occurred at Jimini village in Jere LGA  area on the outskirts of Maiduguri the Borno State capital this morning when some CJTF on guard sighted four teens roamings and asked them to raise up their hands but they refused and kept heading towards the vigilantes who shot them dead.
A member of CJTF, who disclosed this to reporters, said the teenagers wrapped improvised explosive devices around their bellies in an attempt to wreak havoc on Maiduguri.
“Four suicide bombers were sighted coming from the nearby bush at about 5:15am this morning but their plot to wreak havoc on the residents of Maiduguri was averted by our gallant Civilian JTF members stationed at the outskirts of Maiduguri. They were all shot dead, and none of them escaped .” says a Civilian JTF source.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
                   Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Sweden’s coach,  Hakan Ericson, has revealed plans to include Zlatan Ibrahimovic as an over aged player in his squad for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The men’s Olympic football tournament is contested by under-23 players, but each squad is allowed three older players. Calling up Ibrahimovic appears difficult for Ericson, as the striker is also due to lead Sweden’s senior team at the European Championship in June. But the player has previously said he would like to play in Rio and the coach hopes that uncertainty over his club future – he is being linked with a host of top English clubs – could play into his hands. “I hope to use over-age players and I hope that Zlatan will be available, but it depends on which club he will play for and on the European Championships,” said Ericson. “If he is available, I want him to play for us.” Sweden were drawn with Colombia, Nigeria and Japan in August’s Olympic tournament, with the first two games to be played in Manuas. “It’ll be very hard to play Nigeria and Colombia in the Amazon, while Japan (who they face in Salvador) are a good footballing side,” Ericson said.

Are you tired of getting your Samsung phone frequently into Safe Mode? How do you manage to fix it when it really happens? Coming out of the Safe Mode is actually a pain. Since your phone keeps rebooting unless you turn it off, you need to fix that quickly and properly at a time. Although it sounds quite complex but going into Safe mode does not hamper the normal functioning of your device. Neither should you worry about whether your phone will go back to the normal mode or not. But before we tell you about it, let’s learn more about Safe Mode on Android phones.

What is Safe Mode?

It is that safety stage which occurs due to improper installation of any app or corrupt software. Safe Mode uses the default settings of your Android phone to boot which, as a result, disables any third party application to work in that mode. Any personalization made on your phone or the custom settings disappear from it. Even the apps downloaded from the Google Play Store will show as uninstalled. Instead of the pre-installed apps and features, any other app or file which is manually downloaded by you will not be displayed in Safe mode. But as you come back to the normal mode, the apps will be lively and your phone will start functioning normally as you used it before.
Understand why Safe Mode has been activated. Safe Mode is typically activated because of a serious error with an app, or with because a system function on the device crashed. In Safe Mode, you can't run any apps that didn't come installed on your device. If your device is in Safe Mode, a quick restart is usually enough to fix the problem.

             Samsung in safe mode
It is generally used by developers to debug or kill any application which prevents your phone from operating smoothly. You won’t be able to install or run any third party applications in it and a ‘Safe Mode’ watermark will appear at the bottom of your home screen. Sometimes users accidentally stumble upon the Safe mode without knowing what they actually did. This often happens while experimenting with the phone and hence, they become clueless and confused about troubleshooting the issue.

How to turn off safe mode?

Whatever be the reason of getting your phone into Safe mode, we still have the resolution to come out of it. We have a number of tricks to get off safe mode. These methods can be applied to any Android phone, including the Samsung Galaxy models like Galaxy Note, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Grand Neo, Galaxy S Series, Galaxy Y Series and the others models like HTC, Nexus, Motorola, Sony Xperia, LG, Lenovo, Xolo, Micromax, etc.
(1) Restart your phone
Before you attempt for the trickiest solutions, look for the simplest one first. Rebooting your Android phone can solve any technical issue, including disabling safe mode Samsung. Look for the last installed application that caused your phone getting into Safe mode and uninstall it before rebooting the phone. To take off safe mode, follow this process:
  • Go to your phone Settings > Applications manager.
  • Look for the app which you predict caused you the trouble > Click on it.
  • Tap on Uninstall and remove the app from your phone.
  • Now press and hold the Power button of your phone > tap on Restart.
Wait until your phone reboots to get back the normal environment.
(2) Press and hold the Power Button and Volume button
If you have troubles fixing your phone even after restarting it then try this out this method.
  • Long press the Switch off button and tap ‘Power off’.
  • Once it turns off, you need to turn it on again by pressing the power button and volume buttons together.
Your phone will probably exit safe mode.
(3) Phone battery and SIM card removal to disable Safe mode
Still if you have trouble having Samsung safe mode turn off then the issue is definitely going serious. But without giving up, you can try another method to get the phone out of safe mode.
  • Turn off safe mode turn off by pressing the power off button.
  • Remove the back cover > remove the battery and SIM card for 2 minutes. This helps in removing the remaining power from your phone.
  • Now put back the SIM card, battery and back cover 2 minutes and turn on the phone by pressing the Power on button.
You won’t find the Safe mode appearing anymore.
(4) Factory reset your phone to exit safe mode Android
In spite of trying all these methods, if the Safe mode still appears on your phone, then it’s better to start afresh. Unless you are a developer and got the core ideas of debugging an app, you should not try to mess up with the app codes to find what is going corrupted. Better you take back your phone to a fresh new look.
Before attempting the factory reset on your phone, it is very necessary to keep a backup of all your files and folders and phonebook contacts.
  • Go to your phone Settings > Backup and reset.
  • Tap on backup and start the backup process before factory resetting.
  • Once the backup process is complete, choose Factory reset.
  • Confirm the action and your phone will turn into a fresher device just like a new model.
  • Once your phone is rebooted the Safe mode will completely disappear.

Factory data reset
(5) How to get out of safe mode with Hard reset?
Hard reset will quite like factory reset but it is done in a developer’s method. A hard reset erases everything from your phone, including the cache and memory which cannot be erased from factory resetting. It cleans up your phone from the core level to make it feel fresher and new. To remove safe mode with hard reset, follow these steps below:
  • First turn off your phone.
  • Now, you have to start your phone in recovery mode. This varies with every Samsung device. Generally, press the Power + Volume up + Home button to power on your phone and hold the buttons until you see various options on the screen. For other brands like HTC, Motorola and LG, press the Power + Volume down buttons. You can also search for a model specific recovery buttons from the web or from your phone manual.
  • Now use the Volume buttons on your phone to highlight ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ and press the Power button to select it.
  • Select Yes to confirm the reset > use the Power button to select Yes.
Wait until the reset is completed within a few minutes.
You can apply above techniques to all your android powered Samsung phones including Samsung Galaxy 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 1, 2, 3, 4,5, Galaxy tab, Galaxy Grand, Core, Ace, Pocket, Alpha, S Duos, Star, Young, Sport, Active, Zoom, Express, Fresh, Round, Light, Fame, Exhibit, Mega, Trend, Win, Y Plus, XCover, Premier, Mega etc.  phones.

The only difference is that the third party installations, including the apps and games downloaded from the Play Store, simply won’t work in this mode and neither can you install any third party apps or games. The safe mode takes you devise into the safer zone and it is most used by developers and programmers to debug any app that causes trouble with the phone software. Therefore, the phone should be operated very carefully in this mode and unless you are a developer you should not mess up with the phone systems.

How many times have you applied for Google Adsense account and got rejected or not even attended to?
It could be several times or more. Maybe, you are still struggling to get approved by Adsense.
Most of the new bloggers apply for Adsense many times and become disappointed after getting rejected by Adsense. But Adsense is not the only advertising network for publishers. There are a lot of ad networks that share a decent amount of revenue to their publisher.
To be honest, though there are a lot of ad networks but there is no real alternative of Adsense. Adsense is still the best Advertising Network. But I believe ‘Something is better than nothing’. That’s why I am going to share some Adsense alternatives.
If you are one of them who didn’t get approved by Adsense or got banned by Adsense, then you can try the following networks. You can also use these networks along with Adsense to increase your revenue. Here is the list of Adsense Alternatives (2016). Yes, there are other advertising programs (sites) similar to Google Adsense.
Please Do Leave A Comment Below To Show Us Some Love… Thank You!
Here Are The Top Ten Alternatives For Google Adsense
1. Revenuehits: RevenueHits admits that they are not as good as Adsense, but they believe they are better than other alternatives. It’s a Performance base Ad Network that helps publishers to generate more revenue. If you are going to use this network, I would suggest you to keep your ads running for 5-6 days to get best results.
Revenuehits offers Banner ads, Sliders, Pop-unders, button etc. Minimum payout is $20. If you wish to start earning from RevenueHits Click Here to sign up.
2. Media.net: Media.net is one of the best alternatives for Adsense. It is a contextual ad network, powered by Yahoo and Bing. It enables publishers to earn money from advertising revenue.
It offers customized ad units that fit with your site look. It also shows ads to the mobile phone and tablet users.
Currently, this network is not opened for public sign up. But you can request for an invitationHere.
3. Bidvertiser: Bidvertiser is a pay per click advertising site that could be a great Adsense alternative if you didn’t get Adsense approval or got banned. The way it works is a little bit different from Adsense. While Adsense shows ads based on context or visitor’s interest, it creates a bidding system that allows the highest bidder to advertise on your blog. Initially, you won’t be able to earn much revenue as it takes some time to get your site found by Highest bidders. So stay longer.
Bidvertiser offers Text ads, Banner ads, Mobile Ads, Slider ads etc. You can also make money by promoting your customized toolbar. Minimum payment amount is $10 for PayPal and $50 for check. Sign up here.
4. Infolinks: Infolinks is a bit different from other advertising networks. Mainly because it shows ads differently. It doesn’t take too many spaces of your site to show ads. It shows in text ads or pop-up ads. You can use it with Adsense safely.
Infolinks offer 4 types of ads – InFold, InText, InTag, and InFrame. All of them are designed to overcome banner blindness. Minimum payment threshold of $50 for Paypal or $100 for Bank wire. Sign Up HERE.
5. Adversal: Adversal is the best Adsense alternative in terms of serving ads. It has a great CTR and works with several languages. You need to have monthly page views of 50,000 to apply this network. Minimum payout is $20 and payment modes are PayPal, ACH, Check, or Wire. It has an affiliate program too. Sign Up.
6. Chitika: Chitika is the next Google Adsense alternative. If you are tired of not getting Adsense approval, then sign up for Chitika. You need not get approval for using Chitika ads on your site. That means you can monetize your low traffic site with Chitika. Just create an account and put ads on your site.
It offers 3 types of ads – Search Targeted Ads, Local Ads, and Mobile Ads. It’s PPC rates aren’t as good as Adsense. Join Chitika.
7. Pop Ads: Popads is a performance network specialized in Pop Unders. They have good rates and they can monetize all countries. Something great about PopAds is that they can pay daily as long as you earn $5 or more per day. Their quality is good, and they also have pop ups and other monetization methods. Their approvals are easy and setting your ads takes just a few minutes. Sign up as a publisher here.
8. Adengage: Adengage is an online advertising network for publishers to sell direct ads. Since arrival, it has served 1.2 trillion Ads. Minimum payout is $50 and you can get paid via Paypal, Wire, Check and Western Union. Join Here.
9. Viglink: Viglink is totally different from other Ad networks. It converts normal links into affiliate links. If someone makes a purchase by using your link, you’ll earn commission out of it. For example, if you have a post about iPhone or you mentioned iPhone on a post, VigLink will automatically add new affiliate links or convert existing links to affiliate links. Sign up Here.
10. Yllix Media: Yllix is a network I have heard a lot in the last years that has a decent CPM and many monetization options. Their homepage might look simple but their dashboard is great and it’s easy to get started. Yllix has Pop under ads, mobile redirects, sliders, layer ads and full page ads so you can get a good CTR and make money with them. Definitely a good option for starters and their approval is fast. Sign up here.
Good luck to you.
Due to the expensive data plans in the country at the moment, we've been sharing cheap and affordable data plans on SBCN recently with our Blog readers so you all can stay connected to the Internet for as long as possible, with the lowest cost possible and here is yet another one in addition to the ones we've dropped before. This is for the MTN Users in the house and it is 100% FREE, so you don't need to start asking or doubting if it's really going to work because you can try it yourself and see it's working.

This data plan will get you 100MB on your MTN SIM and you can keep resubscribing every time you exhaust the 100MB to enjoy more data. Note that it works on ALL devices, be it Android, iOS, Windows Phone and PC. Interestingly, It doesn't require any Tweaking or VPN. It just works with the default MTN Settings. Without wasting much of your precious time, here is how to go about it -

Dial *460*6# on your MTN SIM. You’ll receive a message like this - "Y’ello, you are already on the MTN Y’ello Life Plus... Blah blah blah", then you can start surfing and downloading on your device because the data is already on your SIM that way. But when you've exhausted the 100MB, you’ll need to opt out by sending BT to 131 via SMS then you'll be opted out and you can simply dial the code again to get another 100MB. As simple as that, by following this procedure you'll be able to use as much data as you can.

UPDATE
: You can also dial *559*40# on your MTN SIM to check if you've been given free #5000 or #1000.
You can also dial *559*40# to check if you've been given free 5000 or 1000 on your MTN line. - See more at: http://www.yomiprof.com/2016/04/must-read-smile-unlimited-has-been.html#sthash.rNh7fGi1.dpuf

Also, some MTN users claimed they got a response like this - "Dear customer migration is not allowed... Blah blah" when they dialed *460*6# and still they were able to browse and download on their device. So irrespective of what response you get when you dial the USSD Code, ensure you try browsing on the SIM to know if it works for you or not. Enjoy it while it last.
